PS4 Error Code (NP-36006-5) | Fixed by Experts

The PS4 error code NP-36006-5 appears when your PS4 Network trophy data has been corrupted. To correct the error, you will need to back up your game saves and then perform trophy sync. In rare cases, you may need to delete your user account and/or perform a full factory reset.
As far as errors go, NP-36006-5 is a big problem. When this error appears, the PS4 console will prevent the current user from running games. To make matters worse, the official solution provided by PlayStation support is to delete your entire user profile before attempting to sync your trophies.
How to fix NP-36006-5 easily
Fortunately, there is a fix that does not involve deleting your user account or factory reset. However, in order for this to work, you must have a game on your trophy list with no trophies earned. Here’s how it works:
- Turn on PlayStation and log in to the user account affected by the error code NP-36006-5
- Open the user’s trophy list, then highlight a game with no earned trophy (0% trophy completion)

Try the official Sony solution
If the simple solution described above doesn’t work, you’ll need to use the official solution provided by Sony support. This method is much more complex, but it should remove the PS4 NP-36006-5 error code and get you back into the games.
- Connect a USB storage device to the PlayStation system and back up all your saved data
- Manually synchronize your trophy data (IMPORTANT)
