How To See Your Play Time Stats On PS5
How much time have you spent playing your favorite PlayStation game? Here’s how you can check your play time.
You might enjoy looking at how much time you have spent playing video games. The PS5 has an interesting, but useful feature. It tracks the time that you spend on games.
Here’s how we can find out how much time you spend playing PlayStation 5 games. This could encourage you to use your PS5 less frequently.
How To Check Your Play Time Stats On PS5
Your profile icon is located at the top-right on your PS5’s home screen. To quickly move the selection, you can press Triangle. Once you’ve opened the menu, select Profile.
Now switch to the Games tab restarting fix. Here you will see all the games on your PlayStation Account. Each of these lists shows when you last played the particular game as well as how many hours you have played. The time is not accurate to the second. Play time will be displayed as an hour.
You will also see playtime here for PS4 titles, even though you haven’t yet played them on PS5.
This play time covers all the time the game was running, not just when you were actively playing. This means that any time you pause the game while you take a phone call, or order food, this will be added to the total. Although it may not be 100% accurate, it will give you an idea how long you have played each title.
If you’re interested, you can also view your friends’ playtime stats. From the same screen, select the Friends tab and choose the friend that you would like to know more about. This will give you an indication of how long they spent playing the same games.
Scroll to the right and select the PS5 Privacy Settings to prevent your playtime data from being visible to others. Under the section titled “Your activity”, you can modify the setting for Who can view your gaming history.
Some Games Also Track Their Play Time
If you are interested in finding out more data such as this, you can open your favorite games and check if they keep track of how much time you spend playing. A lot of games include the total playtime within the pause menu and in your save file.
Although this information may not be consistent between games and may not include time spent paused while playing, it can provide you with more insight into the game you’re interested in. Overwatch, an online game, tracks your time with each hero across all modes.

The PS5 allows you to easily see how many hours you have spent playing video games. This small, but valuable feature is much appreciated since it was not possible to access this information on the PS4.
